Max Defender 8 Weather App App Reviews

Horrible app when theres so many more good weather apps. Horrible interface, and alerts (besides lightning in area) are just click bait. Dont waste your time downloading.

Hope the Max Defender 8 radar app is better. This one is not very intuitive, very cluttered, and way too many ads. Please offer a paid ad-free version. But only after this one is cleaned up and streamlined. Check out Dark Sky for how to build a weather app.

Not sure if News Cannel 8 outsourced this design or did it in house with local Tampa talent, but whoever it was should be Fired. Between the adds and the poor layouts/flow, this is too painful to continue using. Sorry, but its time to see what other new channel weather apps are our there.

This is an extremely bad app. I cant even figure out how to use it or navigate anywhere in it, so its totally useless...

In the past, I was willing to overlook the less than stellar user interface and the slew of ads for the mere fact that the app, similar to the website, provided the option to view a forecast on the interactive radar screen. Ever since this feature was removed, there is nothing left to positively set this app apart from the various other weather apps, the bulk of which are providing a much more intuitive interface. If the developer were to bring back the interactive forecast feature and were to also offer removal of the ads for a one-time payment, then Id rate this app much higher again, as I did before.

Terrible app. Little to no usable information and the ad at the top which moves back and forth constantly made it too annoying. My storage is precious- cant waste it on this app.

The old app is the best weather app out there. Very sorry to see is retired. For example, future in old app gives about 3 hours info. New one, one hour. Dont retire old version

Location problems?? Not if you know how to SIMPLY change lacation, delete the default, presto duhhhhh..... Very useful app, the one I paid for doesnt show storm track, and this is free!!

This app has never failed me!! On point weather alerts and real time tracking. Love it. Thank you! Eeryn Lubicich

Ive done everything, including enabling Show Compass, in which you give the app permission to use your location. Doesnt matter. Every time you restart the app, it reverts to its preferred loc. Really, there should be a simple fix for that... And if any of you can spell out how youre changing the default in the starred list and making it stick, please share. Mine READS Oldsmar but shows the app default. Adding a star because if you tilt your phone horizontally you can see the map w/o extra crud on screen.

The satellite map takes too long to load, the standard isnt an option. Would love to see improvements in the load time. Great for local weather warnings and customizations

I had downloaded this app some time ago and had the same problem reported by many with the default location, which always defaulted in University of Tampa, even after deleting that location and choosing your own. This update fixed it, so I no longer get irrelevant weather alerts!

After the upgrade to ver. 2.4 I have no temperature values. It worked great before. I am using an iPhone 4 using 5.1.1. No I do not want to upgrade till forced to as I do not like what Apple did in the new version. Would be nice to be able to use this app again.

Was a great weather app but now is totally useless as it doesnt work anymore. Deleted and reinstalled a few times and still no luck. Not sure if it was due to the latest update.

Takes forever to load (5 min.) then is choppy. Really liked it before and do hope someone fixes it!

BEST APP EVER

The interactive map has stopped working. Doesnt show past weather movement and when future is selected, it shuts down the app. Used to work really well. Maybe, because theres t-storms in the atmosphere?

I was using weather shaker then the radar stopped working and support would not acknowledge my emails now this radar has stopped working.

Seems to have stopped working. App crashes when you select future radar feature.

Was nice until the local radar 8 max stopped updating
