Max Defender 8 Weather App App Reviews

You were one of the last weather apps to have the great BOLD and colorful icons. Now you followed the rest and I deleted you. Those little suns and rain icons are too hard to see and very lacking in distinction. Update took you from amazing to just another DELETE. BOOOOOOO!!!!

Horrible Horrible Horrible why on earth did you change a great phone app to this terrible one. Deleting as I type this.

Well after wanting a radar that would be right there when I open the app I now need to nav around to find it. It was such a great feature to have the instant radar. Now this is just like all the other apps and I can now delete it. No need for 2 of the same! Wish I could go back!

The old app had a much better layout. Having that map come up right away was the best. Thats what most people want to see. Also, lately when it is raining and I go to look at the map, it doesnt show any rain at all. Either its bad forecasting or some one isnt updating something. Im switching to BayNews9.

Youve ruined a good app. Retain the old one and dump this trash. Only improvement I can see is the ability to pinpoint your location down to street level.

We do not like this new app. We could check the weather outside of our area before with just one click. Now we can only see our local weather. The old app was so much nicer and better. Rate it NO STARS.

This app used to be my go to weather app. But the new design has completely ruined it. The carousel style menu is very unpractical and wastes a lot of space. It was much more efficient having the menu at the bottom of the screen. When I open the app, the first thing I want to do is check the radar, and it was continent how it opened right up to the radar. Bring us back the old layout!!!!

The old app was my favorite. This upgraded version is impossible to use. Ive deleted it.

Terrible! No instructions other than to drag the pinpoint from Tampa, FL. Not AT ALL user friendly! After a great deal of trial and error, when I got a "home" setting, it would not show data. Kept getting msg., setting failed, check Wi-Fi and make sure airplane mode is off. Did all that. Still doesnt work. Ill just use the national weather channel. This is NOT an improvement!

Every change is for the worse. Everything is more complicated and less useful, what a shockingly poor "upgrade." Doesnt anyone actually try using the new app before they roll it out? Very disappointing. If they retire the old app we will be on the hunt for an alternative to this horrible new version.

ruined a great app. see no customizing as one reviewer mentioned. navigation cumbersome and now ad filled due to design.

We really like the old app but the new one is awful. How could something so good become so bad?

It is good. I like the way the different screens can be swiped to view in a carousel style.I found that by accident. As I become better familiar with it, I think I will like it more.

New app only displays weather info for nearest big city, instead of the town where I live. We dont have same temps as in the city. Weather Channel will give me data for my town. Update: TBO app is old app style, accurate & better info display! Trash this app & switch to TBO app!!!

Slow to get todays details on the 8 day screen. INUNDATED WITH FULL SCREEN POP-UPS!!! No longer my go-to, close to deleting it.

Since the recent update, this app has two new problems: 1. Slooooow to load; 2. In addition to ads at the top and full screen ads when you change views, there are new banners for video and chat - and no apparent way to turn them off. I now use a different weather app: Tampa Weather by TBO, also available for free in the App Store.
